Subrosa 2011 Malum frame and fork

I just received a pretty sweet email from Jerrod over at Subrosa. This frame looks pretty legit and they want to know what my readers think (that’s you!), so leave your two cents in the comments section.

“Just thought I’d drop you a line on the new 2011 Subrosa Malum frame and forks. 100% Japanese 4130 and good to go right out of the box, 4 colors (White, Black, Purple, and Chrome) and 3 sizes(Small, Med, and Large). Euro B/B, will except 40+ tires. We also have a matching fork in the 4 colors. We did a small run of these and are about half way through it. Let me know what you think. I’m interested to see what your readers think(I check it everyday, and not just for the ooshies). We added an inch or so to the top tube, added the fishmouth to the seat stays at the seat tube, changed the seat tube angle a touch. We are pretty stoked on this and wondered what the west coast thought.”

I just wish all these frames would drop already so I had more options.

I saw a bike of yours at Dah Shop I don’t know if it was this model or not, but it looked legit.

I say if you wanna know what the west coast thinks…send a couple of these frames this direction. We’ll test em for ya and let you know.

does it fit 26? if so are crimps in place to fit them?

  7. Jake Martin

When these drop, I just might have to check them out, I’m torn between this and the Leader Mordecai.

Do you think they would give you a fits 40c+ if it was designed for 26″…… NO

You are correct we did not make it for 26in wheel in mind, nothing against it though, and the crimps are for 700s.

it was an honest question, THX

  11. Tyler Johnson

Im just saying… It would definitely be mentioned if it was 26 specific.

  12. tdhk

I’m jus asking, cause you know someone would of ask the Q.

Like wise, I cannot imagine why anyone would ask if the TJ pro model (leader shadow) can take 26 when the chainstay bridge is clearly made for 700c.

Also, as far as mentioning, they initially didn’t really mention anything.
