This Friday is the last Future Tense of the year (we’re skipping December) so come out and kick it. Last month we did a freestyle shred session while the fast bikes met up and rode around the city.
In summer 2012, Grime Bikes is hosting a series of Fixed Freestyle events across the globe in cooperation with the VELO-CITY tour, which has been in effect since 2006. Cities included are: BERLIN, NAGOYA, LISBON and NEW YORK. This is the biggest fixed freestyle event to date, and the first worldwide championship circuit for the sport. The energy will be huge and the impact will be felt throughout the bike industry. We hope to see you there!

Awesome video following Austin Horse as he races the cyclocross course on a fixed gear.
During a quick break from shooting the RedBull Ride + Style event, the TSW crew stumbled onto and shot some footage of the mostly outlaw Soil Saloon: Spring Break cyclocross race where, among other seasoned riders, RedBull’s Austin Horse, TCB Courier’s Chas and MASH’s Walton Brush competed for first place.
During this champion studded race, riders were encouraged to drop to one knee, choke down a beer bong (served by the legendary Willam Bottington, III) and spin an “STD Wheel”. Clearly the type of fun a good athlete should be having.
Walton took 1st place. Chas got 3rd and I think Austin got first fixed. Damn! Them boys is fast!
DFL for life!
This Friday come out for our monthly gathering devoted to worshipping the bike gods of shredditude.
I hear he was smashing things up down in Austin (Seattle reppin!). Anyone have the final results?
Keep reading for more amazing photo coverage by Gideon Tsang and check the whole flickr set here. The entire set is very good.
While we were unable to attend this year, our pal Jake Hanson offered to share his interbike photos with us. Take a look.
